Join us for a post-Thanksgiving caravan field trip around Belle Isle to search for fantastic winter waterbirds! Join us for a post-Thanksgiving caravan field trip around Belle Isle! On this field trip, we'll be looking for the fantastic winter waterbirds that call the Detroit River home. The stretch of the Detroit River that surrounds Belle Isle is home to one of the largest wintering Canvasback Duck populations in North America! This field trip will meet in the parking lot of the Belle Isle Nature Center. Please wear masks and practice social distancing when necessary.   Our mission is to foster appreciation and conservation of birds and the environment we share.Our mission pillars are: Education, Research, and Action.
