WALNUT CREEK, CA — Multiple power outages are reported in Walnut Creek Monday morning, totaling hundreds of customers. The largest is impacting 175 in the North Civic Drive area, although there are numerous outages impacting between one and 49 customers scattered around the city.
PG&E is working to restore electricity.
There is no estimate on when the outages will be repaired.
The public utility company reported Monday morning that 69,000 total customers were impacted by outages, down from 147,000 during the height of the storm on Sunday.
PG&E brought in extra crews from outside the Bay Area to help.
Meanwhile, the roadways have mostly recovered from flooding caused by Sunday's "bomb cyclone" rainstorm. At one point Sunday night, there was more than 2.5 feet of water on I-680 in the downtown area.
The rain gauge on Mt. Diablo collected 7.06 inches of rain from midnight Saturday to midnight Sunday, according to Contra Costa County.
