WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ — A township man faces first-degree murder charges after police found him on top of a 51-year-old woman who suffered multiple stab wounds and bruises, the Bergen County Prosecutor said. Patrick J. Camilli is charged with murder after an investigation conducted by Washington Township police and the prosecutor's office revealed that he "murdered Mary E. Huber with a knife." Police responded to Huber's Lexington Court residence around 12:05 a.m. on Sunday, where they found Camilli "on the floor on top of" Huber. Huber was transported to Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, where she was pronounced dead. Camilli was transferred to Hackensack University Medical Center, where he is in stable condition after receiving treatment for self-inflicted stab wounds, the prosecutor said. He remains in custody at the hospital, and faces weapons charges in addition to the charge of murder.
