Description

Join John Jenkins, CREW trustee and Executive Director of Bonita Springs Utilities, Inc. (BSU) for a tour of BSU’s water and wastewater plan CREW’s mission is the preservation and stewardship of the water resources and natural communities in and around the Corkscrew Regional Ecosystem Watershed. But what is the connection between that water resource and our drinking water supply? What does it take to use it as potable water in our homes, and to reuse it as an alternative irrigation source from our wastewater plants? It may surprise you to learn who consumes our water, and how efficient is that use. Climb around BSU’s water and wastewater treatment plants while we discuss the treatment processes. How does water get from well to tap, and then from toilet to…well, where does it end up?
