HACKETTSTOWN, NJ - A man from Warren County's Washington Township faces multiple charges in Hackettstown, including resisting arrest. According to a news release from the Hackettstown Police Department on Monday, at about 2 a.m. on Oct. 21, the department was notified that a man, reportedly driving under the influence of alcohol, was heading for the Wawa on Mountain Avenue from Mount Olive. When the responding officer arrived to the Wawa, Sgt. Darren Tynan - a spokesperson for Hackettstown Police - said that the man, Frank Menchon, 24, had left his car idling in the Wawa's no parking zone. After stating that he smelled alcohol, the officer tried handcuffing Menchon, who reportedly pulled away his arm, Tynan said. In addition to DWI and resisting arrest charges, Tynan said Menchon was charged with careless driving, being parked in a no parking zone, having an unclear license plate, refusing to take a breathalyzer test and for an unspecified "safety glass requirement" issue.
