Roger is an award-winning professional naturalist, author, botanist and photographer. His wildflower walks, offered once per season, are very popular thanks to his excellent story-telling skills and vast knowledge. This walk is sure to sell-out! Make sure to BYOB (bring your own book) to have Roger Hammer sign a copy or buy one at the end of the event. Requirements for Participants: *Wearing a face covering and social distancing is required while participating in CREW Trust Programs.* If you choose not to wear a face covering while on a CREW Trust program, you will be asked to leave the group and hike the trails on your own. As requirements change we will update you via email. To help prevent the spread of COVID-19, follow these guidelines from the CDC: Stay home if you don’t feel well, have been diagnosed with COVID-19, if you are waiting for COVID-19 test results, or may have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 (within 14 days). Maintain a distance of at least 6 feet or more from people who don’t live in your household. Covering coughs and sneezes with a tissue or the inside of the elbow. Soap and water are not available on the CREW trails, instead bring hand sanitizer to use that contains at least 60% alcohol and rub hands together until dry. Avoiding touching eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands. Masks should not be placed on: - Anyone who has trouble breathing - Anyone who is unconscious, incapacitated or otherwise unable to remove the cloth face covering without assistance Quick Tip: Become a CREW Member and get a discount on your ticket TODAY. A waitlist is available if this event sells out. FAQs Is there an age limit for the event? This event is for adults and children over 12. Are dogs allowed at this event? This is not a pet-friendly event. Dogs are not allowed unless they are a service animal. What are the parking/facilities like at the trails? There is a grassy parking lot at the trailhead. There is one portable restroom at the trailhead. What are the trails like? The trails are mostly grassy/sandy ground level trails with some boardwalks over wet areas. Expect seasonally wet/muddy places on the trails during the wet season (July - December). What should I wear? What should I bring? Wear comfortable clothes suitable for being outside for several hours including closed-toe shoes. Please bring water. Cameras, hiking sticks and field guides are optional. Bonus points if you bring one of Roger's books! Is my registration/ticket transferrable? Yes. You may give your spot to someone else. Be sure to change the information on your registration page (instructions found within your confirmation email) or call us at 239-657-2253. Can I update my registration information? Yes, you may update your registration information up to 24 hours before the event. Do I have to bring a printed ticket to the event? No. We do not issue print tickets. Simply check in with the event leader at the time of the event. Can I cancel my ticket(s)? You may cancel your ticket(s) up to 72 hours prior to the event.
