New Animal Rescue Center To Open In Freehold Raceway Mall

FREEHOLD, NJ — Garden State Animal Rescue Center announced the opening of its first adoption location at Freehold Raceway Mall, in partnership with Husky House. The new location will allow the organization to increase its support for the community by offering adoptions, educational seminars and pet supplies. It will host monthly public seminars involving a wide variety of animal welfare-related programs. There will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Nov. 5. Following the event, guests will be able to meet current adoptable dogs and cats in addition to alumni of both organizations. Garden State Animal Rescue Center was founded in 2018 with the goal of improving aminal's welfare and quality of life by providing rescue, veterinary care, enrichment and shelter. They also provide affordable spay/neuter and TNVR programs. Husky House started in 2000 to help with the rescue, shelter, care and adoption of stray, abandoned and unwanted animals in the Tri-State area. Anyone interested in volunteering with Garden State Animal Rescue Center can fill out an application here. All volunteers must be at least 18 years old to volunteer on their own or have a parent accompany them. They also have to pass a background check and be able to commit to at least six months as a volunteer.
