PITTSBURGH, PA — After an absence of nearly two months to fight a mysterious medical ailment, WPXI-TV reporter Mike Holden returns to the station on Monday. Holden made the announcement via social media on Sunday. I'M BACK!! Medically cleared. No surgery! Can't thank you guys enough. I'll see ya on @WPXI Monday. And let's be honest—the daytime TV has been lackluster without Wendy & way less entertaining without Meghan fighting on the View. And why is Springer a judge now??? pic.twitter.com/iiC0eFzMHZ— Mike Holden (@WPXIMikeHolden) October 24, 2021 Holden was hospitalized for several days last month while physicians attempted to diagnose a painful medical condition. A vascular surgeon told him he might have Popliteal Artery Entrapment Syndrome, a condition that prevented him from walking, running, driving or putting weight on his right leg for extended periods. Holden said his condition was able to be treated without surgery. Be the first to know what's happening in your community and region.
