Sprouts Announces Opening Date For New Menifee Store

MENIFEE, CA — Sprouts Farmers Markets announced an opening date for its newest Southwest Riverside County location. The 22,610-square-foot store at 27281 Newport Road in Menifee will open at 7 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 3, according to an announcement Monday from the Phoenix, Ariz.-based grocer. The opening marks the fourth store in and around Southwest Riverside County — two other Sprouts Farmers Markets are open in Temecula and one is open in Hemet. The self-proclaimed "healthy specialty grocer" is bringing approximately 100 full- and part-time jobs to the community as a result of the new Menifee store, the company said. The Sprouts project was approved in October 2019 by Menifee's Community Development Department as part of the 78,417-square-foot Center Pointe Plaza project in Menifee Town Center. Known for a curated selection of healthy products, Sprouts offers produce, meat and seafood, supplements, plant-based products, organic products, and more. The store will be open daily from 7 a.m.-10 p.m. To celebrate the Menifee opening, the first 200 customers will receive 25 percent off their total initial purchase and every shopper on opening day will receive a free reusable canvas shopping bag, the company said. Local customers can also enter to win a $500 Sprouts gift card by visiting sprouts.com/menifee. Through Sprouts' Food Rescue program, the new store will donate groceries that are no longer fit for sale but remain edible to Feeding America Riverside San Bernardino. In 2020, Sprouts donated an equivalent of approximately 23 million meals to those in need through the program, according to the company.
