Bucks Co. Stalker Sentenced To Up To 35 Years In Prison

DOYLESTOWN, PA — A Philadelphia man has been sentenced to 16 and a half to 35 years for stalking and harassing of his ex-girlfriend. Steven Jeffrey Castner, of Philadelphia, was sentenced Monday, Oct. 25, after he was convicted in June of an array of crimes, which include attempted burglary, criminal trespassing, terroristic threats, and simple assault. According to the Bucks County District Attorney's Office, Castner broke into the victim's Sellersville home in 2019 with a hammer, damaging her home and car before assaulting her. Common Pleas Judge Jeffrey L. Finley sentenced him to years in prison each of the crimes, which will come to 16 and a half to 35 years. Finley said he made the judgement because of Castner's persistence in making the victim's life a "living hell". "She lives in fear that one day you might get out and what you might do," Finley said at the sentencing. Bucks County Detectives found the man made 3,675 calls to his ex-girlfriend's phone while still in county jail.
