Westlake Police ID Men Accused Of Business Break-Ins

WESTLAKE, OH — A group of men have been accused of trying to break into several Ohio businesses after they were identified by Westlake police. On Oct. 18, at 4:30 a.m., a man tried to open the front doors of the Apple Store. Security approaching him and he told them he was trying to "use the phone" at the store, police said. Police were then contacted and sought the man out. They found him getting into a car near a home at Crocker Park, according to a Westlake police spokesperson. However, officers investigated the story and learned the men were lying, a police spokesperson said. Westlake police then contacted other agencies and linked the men with several business break-ins across Ohio. The men will now be charged with breaking-and-entering and other crimes, police said.
