CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH — After a sterling 8-2 season, the Heights High Tigers have punched their ticket for the postseason.
Sixteen teams in each region make the playoffs, under the Ohio High School Athletics Association (OHSAA) rules. The Tigers finished the season ranked No. 7 in their region (and weirdly had a better record than two teams ranked above them).
On Friday, the Tigers will host No. 10 Elyria in the first round of the football playoffs. Elyria High finished the year with a record of 6-4.
