CHANDLER, AZ — Police are asking for the public's help in identifying the driver of a Ford Mustang that struck a mother and child, causing them to be transported to the hospital with minor injuries on Thursday afternoon.
On Oct. 21 at 2:20 p.m., Chandler Police were dispatched to California Street and Tulsa Street on a report of a hit-and-run accident, police said.
An investigation later found that the mother was pushing the child in a stroller when a vehicle traveling northbound on California Street lost control, striking them and hitting a block wall and a tree before leaving the scene and traveling westbound on Tulsa Street.
The vehicle, a two-door Ford Mustang, is either white or light gray and is believed to have front-end damage, police said.
Residential surveillance of the accident and the car was captured and can be found below.
Anyone with information on the car's driver is encouraged to contact the Chandler Police Department at (480) 782-4130. Callers can remain anonymous.
