We're back in person! Bring your broken items and volunteers will help you learn how to repair your belongings; attend demos to learn more skills! Free and open to OSU and the public. 4-6PM WHY ATTEND A REPAIR FAIR? 1. Save Money: Score free repairs so you don’t have to buy more stuff. 2. Gain Skills: Connect with others to learn new skills or share your own. 3. Reduce Waste: Save your beloved belongings and conserve natural resources. REPAIR SKILLS OFFERED: - Appliances/Electronics - Small Furniture - Bicycles - Clothing - Computers - Musical Instruments (Note: We don’t have spare parts, but will do our best to repair what we can and/or refer you to where you could find the parts you need. If you have parts already, we may be able to help you install them.) D.I.Y. DEMONSTRATIONS: "To Dye For": DIY Tie-dye - Bring your own textiles or dye provided cotton and poly-blend masks! "Sew Good": Beginner Hand Sewing - Our volunteers will teach you basic hand stitching on scraps of cloth or you can bring your own item to repair! VACCINATION OR TEST REQUIRED: Per OSU policy, all attendees and volunteers must either: show verification of vaccination against COVID-19, show proof of a negative COVID-19 test from within 3 days prior, or be an OSU student or employee in compliance with OSU's vaccination or testing requirement and show their OSU ID. All attendees must also be willing to comply with all OSU COVID-19 protocols including wearing face coverings. For specific details visit. DIRECTIONS: The Student Experience is at 2251 SW Jefferson Way, Corvallis, OR 97331, between the Memorial Union and Valley Library; the SEC Plaza is outdoor, covered between the SEC and MU. PARKING/DROP-OFF: - Large items may be dropped off before you park. The check-in booth will hold your item until you are able to return. Drop-off location: 2501 SW Jefferson Way, Corvallis, OR 97331. - Limited, metered parking can be found on Jefferson Way for $2 an hour, free after 5pm. The parking garage found on 661 SW 26th St, across from Gill Colleseum, offers metered $1-2 hourly rates or $4-6 for a daily pass. Street parking outside of campus may also be available. - Bike parking is available. CITY & CAMPUS TRANSIT: -City routes 3 and 8 stop at 26th and Jefferson.
