Dexter is an 11 month old maine coone mix I rescued. His first owner passed away from cardiac issues and Dexter was brought in to the vet clinic I work at. He is neutered, fully vaccinated for FVRCP, and has been dewormed. He has never sprayed or had an accident inside the house and was never picky about litter. Unfortunately, I can no longer keep Dexter because I have a 6 month old baby and Dexter has a habit of play biting. He needs to go to a single person household with no children or dogs that is willing to work through his issue and give him time to decompress. He prefers men. I do not know how he would react to another cat, I could see it being beneficial but I could also see him not liking another cat. If you have a cat and would like to adopt Dexter, I’m willing to do a trial period of 2 weeks, I’ll take him back no questions asked. I do not want him to go to a shelter with the possibility of euthanization. He is beautiful, and affectionate, but he likes to have his own space. He is not a lap cat (at least as of now, I’ve had him for about 2 months) but he will come up to get pets and when he wants food he will let you know.
