JOB SUMMARY: BSG Hops, a subsidiary of Rahr Corporation, is based in the Yakima Valley of Washington, the heart of the US hop growing region. We are dedicated to supplying the brewing industry with the highest-quality hops through careful control of the entire supply chain. Rahr Corporation (Rahr) is a family-owned global leader in the production and distribution of barley malt and related brewing supplies in operation since 1847. In support of long-term growth and sustainability, the Fulfillment Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily functions of the Shipping and Receiving Department, the management of all inventory and inventory organization, and the maintenance of the cleanliness and organization throughout all warehouses. The Fulfillment Manager is a hands-on leadership role trained to perform every position that the leader supervises and is expected to fill in and perform each position as operations needs require. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinates receipt, processing, shipping, and changes in customer order operations. Oversees all daily Shipping/Receiving operations to ensure that all orders ship to customers in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner. Hires, inspires, and leads employees by providing ongoing coaching and development, recognition, and open and honest communication. Prioritizes shipments prior to picking and prepares and communicates schedules and operational plans for Shipping Department to align with the daily and weekly operational needs. Secures freight quotes and schedules freight carriers. Completes all final audits for completed orders to ensure company standards of accurate are consistently being met. Delegates all order picking duties to the appropriate employees, and ensure efficiency Schedules incoming freight for delivery and proactively prepares warehouse to receive all deliveries efficiently. Monitors, tracks, and manages fulfillment KPIs such as shipping speeds, productivity, and fulfillment errors. Maintains records of shipping and receiving activities, assists in the development of record keeping procedures, and prepares associated reports for management. Collaborates cross-functionally to ensure excellent communication flow between the Shipping/Receiving, Customer Service, Supply Chain Personnel, and leadership. Manages the warehouse organization, space utilization, and inventory accuracy to ensure operational efficiencies can be consistently met. Leads all inventory counts and verification and communicates with leadership on any areas of concern. Monitors, delegates, and executes to ensure sanitation and cleanliness expectations are consistently maintained in the warehouses. Participates in managing the annual Harvest Receiving duties in August and September. Develops and implements operating policies and procedures that improve the flow of information and fulfillment operations. Partners with leadership to understand operational financial results to support ongoing cost containment and budgeting initiatives. Cross-trains employees in all shipping, receiving and warehouse duties. Follows policy compliance requirements and monitors and leads employees to comply with policies as well. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the company and operational needs. MINIMUM EDUCATION & WORK REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or related field or proven experience in a field related to this specific opportunity. 5+ years’ experience in a warehouse, distribution, and order fulfillment. 2+ years’ experience of prior leadership experience. Strong experience and background in shipping, receiving, and inventory processes. Experience with ERP systems and warehouse management software. Proven problem solver that brings creative solutions to issues as they arise. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Open to giving and receiving positive and constructive feedback to employees as well as upper management. Proven ability to continuously build a strong operational team, by training existing employees as well as recruiting and training new employees as needed. Ability to adapt to high demand seasons and create operational plans to fill the changing needs. Proven ability to operate with the utmost integrity, and treat employees, suppliers, and customers with an equally high level of respect. Proven ability to prioritize and delegate work assignments by matching the responsibility to the correct executor, setting clear expectations, monitoring delegated activities, and providing recognition for results. Ability to work well under pressure, successfully navigate ambiguity and succeed in a rapidly changing, fast-paced, often unpredictable environment with multiple competing priorities. Apply here:
