Two young Cats

I have a male 1 yr old cat who is nurtured and vaccinated. He is ok with dogs & other cats, kids.. Very affectionate. His name is Smokey. I also have a 4-5 mo old Female kitten named Millie. She loves kids, ok with other dogs and cats. I found her as a stray and she is not fixed or had shots yet her age is an estimate based on her size and teeth. Both cats are litter box trained. I would love for them to go together but if not I'm sure they will do ok separated.
