Meet Sega! He is a 2 year old Golden Retriever looking for his new home. Why am I rehoming? Unfortunately I am at a time in my life that I think it is best we part our ways, and sadly my neighbors have threatened to take his life and this is just no longer a safe environment for him. What is he like? He loves to go go go, he LOVES playing with toys especially stuffed animals. He loves any and all duck, pheasant, dove bumpers! He is not the best dog to leave unsupervised, he WILL use the bathroom inside. He cannot be left outside unsupervised, he WILL escape the fence (hence the neighbor issue) he is not aggressive in any way, he is a barker and that tends to make people nervous. Sega gets EXTREMELY car sick, we’ve tried crating in the car, we’ve been in trucks. We’ve tried crating in the bed of the truck, we’ve tried without a crate inside only. I’ve spent hundreds on medications trying to find something that would work, nothing works. My suggestion, always have two people in the car, and allow him to keep his head in your lap and BRING A BAG! What home would suit him best? Sega would enjoy a very active family who loves being outdoors, he can be neurotic inside but the moment we go outside he is calm and collected (unless you leave him.) Sega would very much enjoy a family that hunts, or at least one person in the family. Keep in mind that Golden Retrievers are bred for hunting, and he has a very high prey drive. He absolutely loves water, he is a duck dog after all. Being that Sega has a high prey drive, he cannot go to a home that has small animals, he WILL kill them and has in the past. Cats and small dogs might be ok, but he loves to chase. Sega is also fully health tested against all genetic diseases, and both parents have their OFAs. Requirements for his new home and fees. 1. Must reside within Kentucky. 2. If he is ever to be rehomed again, he will come back to me (this will be in a written contract, just like a breeder contract) 3. He is not currently neutered, he will need to be neutered ASAP. 4. At least 2 meetups and a virtual home tour. 5. Sega is AKC registered, registration will not be given until he is neutered. Fee: $600
