From start to closing, we deliver excellence every stage of the way. Job Summary As a Parts Coordinator at L&S, you will create a high volume of purchase orders for order fulfillment by suppliers. You will maintain a strong supplier relationship to ensure orders are processed accurately, timely and cost effective. The ideal candidate will oversee daily work and ensures parts and supplies are acquired by field employees to meet customer needs, assists employees with unusual or difficult assignments. They will also process all field part request and truck restock request, maintain parts logs, and process all extend warranty claims and part warranties, and ensure warranty credits are received in a timely manner. General Responsibilities • Review and monitor upcoming work to be performed to schedule and assign tasks to maximize productivity and to meet the needs of the customer. • Monitors the safety of goods and ensures the efficient usage of warehouse space. • Coordinate the pulling of inventories and loadouts to ensure that technicians have all the required items to complete the assigned work. • Operate an applicable system to update parts status and respond to field inquiries. • Assure product is properly and safely stacked and organized on pallets. • Ensure that documentation and returns of overstocks and warranted parts and materials are handled appropriately to ensure receipt of credits. Follows-up on credit postings. • Oversee and conduct physical inventory counts performed during scheduled inventories. • Prepare a substantial number of purchase orders per month by verifying specifications and price. • Maintain strong supplier relationship to ensure items are received in a timely manner, resolving shipment issues, and obtaining recommendations from suppliers for substitute items as appropriate. • Receives/checks deliveries of parts and equipment per purchase orders. • Maintain safe and clean work environment • Maintain orderliness in warehouse and work area • Assist warehouse staff with major, unusual, or difficult assignments and/or problems. • Conduct quality-control review of assessments of completed work performed to ensure work is performed in accordance with company practices and processes, expected workmanship, and efficiency and effectiveness. • Maintain inventory controls by collecting stock location orders, printing request, recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed through a computer. Will assist in counting of physical inventory per company and center procedures • Train employees on company processes and procedures, and safety rules and practices. • Deliver excellent customer service and sustaining high levels of customer satisfaction. • Represent the company professionally, honestly, and ethically in all business matters and activities. Health & Safety Roles & Responsibilities • Reports any unsafe acts, conditions, and hazards to direct supervisor/manager immediately. • Corrects substandard acts or conditions within area of control. • Uses and maintains appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as prescribed by company program(s) or procedure(s) • Complies with the general rules as prescribed by company program(s) procedure(s) • Operates devises or equipment as prescribed by company program(s) or procedure(s) • Participates in any safety initiatives, teams, or committees. • Reports all injuries or incidents as prescribed by company program(s) or procedure(s) immediately. • Provides input on developing safety initiatives and plans to eliminate exposures that could cause accidents. • Does not perform any act that may endanger the safety or well- being of others • Works in compliance with applicable legislative requirement. Qualifications • High school diploma or GED with additional training in tri-trade preferred. • Three years of warehouse operational experience required. • Two years working within inventory control functions such as cycle counts, stock adjustments and dealing with day-to-day inventory discrepancies and resolution based off best-in-class practices. • Prior working experience with driving productivity and quality performances by maintaining best practices. • Must be a self-starter and detailed oriented. Must have the ability to think and take constructive and proactive action at work without being urged. • Must possess all valid licensing as required by federal, state, provincial, or local governmental laws or regulations for the geographical work area. • Demonstrated basic leadership skills. • Demonstrated ability to train others in technical skills and effective customer service. • Effective communication skills to communicate and resolve customer issues, complaints, or concerns. • Effective and efficient time-management and organizational skills. • May be required to use RF scanner depending on center operating system • Ability to change or adapt work practices, priorities, or procedures or to reschedule activities in response to changing conditions or multiple work demands • Proficient mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate all necessary tools and equipment. • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
