About Me: I've been around dogs my whole life, including owning a German Shepherd for 13 years. In order to honor him, I want to care for and walk pets, the same thing my dog loved. I'm available and flexible for whenever you need me - and I can't wait to meet your furry babies! I'm actively volunteering at PAWS Chicago, so my love for animals goes beyond just dogs. I also have managed a luxury dog hotel, so providing amazing care for your fur babies is second nature! I absolutely would love to stay with your pet, or just drop by and play with them for a while! I've been dogsitting and walking dogs for over 15 years, starting when I was a teenager with my family's dogs, then branching out towards friend's and neighbor's dogs as well. I've walked fit-in-your-purse-sized dogs, to dogs that look like polar bears! I have taken care of dogs, cats, fish and horses, along with a plethora of rodents and exotics. too, and would be able to confidently care for them while you are away. I currently have two bearded dragons, two snakes, a Russian tortoise, two German Shepherds, and two cats. Caring for animals has been an extremely strong passion of mine for as long as I could remember, and becoming a veterinarian was one of two paths I was considering after graduating high school. I am extremely passionate about the work that I do on a daily basis, and try to share that passion in the work environment, whether that’s with other co-workers or clients. My strong sense of loyalty, organization, calm under duress and compassion are all traits that I truly believe are necessary to work in this field, and I sincerely hope you agree! I work virtually most days and have extreme flexibility in my work! I am fortunate that I can easily check on and spend a ton of time with your pets! While working in the veterinary hospital, I have become extremely knowledgeable and comfortable with all pets, from the over-friendly to shy! This is important because a stressful event like a pet's caregivers leaving town can make them very confused and sometimes afraid/aggressive when a stranger enters their home. I am very in tune to that and am also certified in fear-free methods to help ease any pet's uneasiness! About My Services: House Sitting: $30 per night. He has now stayed at our home 4 separate times, and we have 5th booked. It’s comforting to know our “kids” are in good hands while we’re away!" --Jeffrey H.
