Description

We are looking for a skilled Maintenance worker to perform upkeep tasks such as repairs and cleaning. You will be responsible for applying basic fixes to equipment and building systems and ensure facilities are tidy and functional. Being reliable with a keen eye for detail is the first step to getting this job. The ideal candidate will have experience and solid technical knowledge. You must possess manual dexterity and physical stamina. One position will be based solely in Detroit, MI and two positions will be floating between Wausau, WI - Schofield, WI - Stevens Point, WI. Responsibilities: • Perform minor fixes, such as repairing broken locks, damage to walls, etc. • Install necessary appliances and equipment as needed • Perform periodic property wide inspections of various hardware systems • Answer work order calls from people who own houses • Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues • Maintain common grounds, including garden and yard upkeep, trimming, edging, mowing lawn, collecting trash, etc. • Perform necessary cleaning activities, such as dusting, mopping, trash removal, etc. • Complete regular maintenance tasks, such as replacing light bulbs • Perform plumbing, electrical, and HVAC work as needed • Inspect and troubleshoot various equipment and systems • Test the functionality of the facility’s safety systems (e.g. fire alarm) • Collaborate with a team of workers and other professionals during renovations and facility expansions • Report to facilities or maintenance manager regarding issues resolved, those needing attention, and those currently in progress Skills: • Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems • Experience using hand and electrical tools • Ability to read technical manuals and drawings • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Physical stamina and dexterity • High school diploma or equivalent COVID-19 considerations: All employees are required to wear masks and maintain social distancing.
