Hello all... After giving this girl yet another chance to fit in with my flock, I am back again in attempt to find her a better suited home. I acquired Sandy 10/2020 from a couple that was moving and didn't want to bring her with, thinking I was giving her a better life by allowing her to live with other birds since she was an only bird before me. It turns out she would actually prefer to be alone, go figure. I have 3 others and they all get along as you would expect, typical keet chaos with playing and friendly banter. Sandy however pecks them away and wants to hang out by herself. I let them out often and the others zoom around and chase each other while she sits back and watches. It's kind of sad to see. She is easily startled and overall just seems stressed most of the time. I feel bad since I had the best of intentions. Sandy is not tame at all and does not want to interact with humans. I am willing to rehome for free if you can let me know why you think she would fit in with you better. She is used to being in a large flight cage so I would prefer her new home to have a larger cage as well, so she can still exercise even if she's too shy to come out. She will need a quieter environment without children. She is ok with calm dogs. At this point after a year of being here, I just want her to find a home where she can at least be content and hopefully not have to keep moving.
