Description

On Fri, Jan 8, 2021, the Palm Harbor Museum unveils its new exhibits in a special sneak peek for Museum members only. Cowgirls, spoonbills, Gulf coast fishing and more! Membership has its benefits! On Jan 8, 2021, the Palm Harbor Museum invites its members in good standing to see for the first time, all-new exhibits about the Hartley family (whose house became the Museum's permanent home in 1998) and glimpses of Palm Harbor history, including Boot Ranch, Ozona and our own Pinky the Spoonbill, whose ancestors gave the area its early name of "Curlew." These exhibits constitute Phase 1 of a planned series of new permanent displays, generously funded by a grant from the Faith Mission Christian Fund through the Pinellas Community Foundation. During the members'-only reception, timed reservations every quarter hour for private groups up to four people will be permitted to tour the Museum, in keeping with our COVID19 safety protocol. Masks are required inside the building and while around others at the outdoor refreshment table. Only current members may sign up for this exclusive event. A list will be checked at the front door upon arrival. Want to join? Click HERE to sign up! A public grand opening will be held on Sat, Jan 9. Nonmembers may go HERE to make reservations for this event.
