Canine Intermediate Obedience Class Are you ready to step up your game? Award Winning, Sweetbriar K9 is offering an Intermediate Obedience Class! This course is one step up from our Beginner Obedience Class. Below is a syllabus that shows everything that will be covered in this four week class. Please come prepared to have fun and work on building the relationship between you and your dog. Make sure to bring a solid 6ft leash (ABSOLUTELY NO RETRACTABLE LEASHES), small treats that your dog enjoys, and disposable bags to clean up after your dog. SKILLS Intermediate OB includes the same skills as Basic OB but with added difficulty. ~Sit with increased duration and distractions ~Down with increased duration and distractions ~Recall from a farther distance and more distractions This class will take you from an empty field to the inside of a crowded Lowe’s hardware store. This environment will be perfect to work on exposing dogs to a variety of environmental stimulus. It will also be a wonderful opportunity to work on other skills such as, how to ignore distractions, greet strangers, behave in the general public, and increase handler focus.
