The New-York Historical Society NYHistory Store will Celebrate it's Fall 2021 Holiday Shopping Event On Friday, November 5, 2021, the NYHistory Store will host our next Designing Women Market, a day-long shopping marketplace to showcase exceptional products by women makers, designers, and entrepreneurs. We are excited to invite you to join us! This November we are pleased to bring our Market back for pre-Holiday shopping. By holding the Market next month we hope to continue to demonstrate that our Designing Women‘s resilience and creativity can prevail. In that spirit this season’s Market will be held outdoors in the New-York Historical’s West 76th Street Courtyard festival tent, permitting a safe environment for all involved. This special marketplace will feature outstanding makers whose products exemplify the creative spirit of New York City, a long tradition that includes in its lineage such pioneers as Madam C. J. Walker, Clara Driscoll, Estee Lauder, and B. Smith. Our participants are among a select number of women designers we respect and admire for both their success and for the quality of the products they bring to the marketplace. Our Designing Women produce a unique range of jewelry, clothing, and accessories. The NYHistory Store believes that the interaction between history lovers who support our business and the women producers living out their stories of creativity and commerce, is a positive demonstration that we each make history matter every day. PLEASE NOTE: New-York Historical is following COVID-19 safety protocols in our fall 2021 Market to maintain an environment of health safety. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination and the use of face masks will be required of all participants: vendors, staff, and shopping visitors alike. Sanitary supplies will be available on site for vendors and staff; hand sanitizer will be provided for shoppers. Attendance is free to the public – in order to maintain health safety capacity rules all attendees will register for timed entry. Walk-ins are welcome! Guests will be required to wait if there is a queue. Guests will be required to sign in for COVID Contact tracing.  Guest will need the use of face masks.
