Part Time Maintenance Technician Maintenance technician performs a wide variety of maintenance duties as needed in order to provide a clean, orderly, and safe facility. Duties are performed within a self storage facility. This is a part time position with 6 hours minimum per week. We can work with a schedule that suits yours. Maintenance technician primarily works outdoor. Walk the site to observe any irregularities, pick up trash on site, remove weeds and identify any ground maintenance needs, prepare units for rent. The work may include lifting heavy objects. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: - Candidate must hold a valid driver’s license and has a cell phone - Must be willing to consent to a drug test and background test. - Must have knowledge/experience to use power tools and tractor following safety guidelines. - Has basic knowledge of construction, electrical, painting, not afraid of climbing ladders/heights. - Must be able to lift heavy stuff. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: • Perform a wide variety of routine and comprehensive maintenance work throughout the site and primarily work outdoor. • Walk around the site to observe any maintenance issues that need to be fixed, remove weeds and shrubs, branches as needed, gather trash on site and keep the site clean. • able to use grinder to cut locks when needed and any other maintenance related duties as required. • Get units ready after move out – remove stuff from units, sweep and clean units, and haul away stuff to prepare units for new rental. • spread gravels on spots where is needed and blow out debris to keep ground clean. • Snow removal during snow storm when needed with company equipment • Able to use power tools to blow out debris, cut locks, cut weeds/shrubs. • Monitor unit locks to report any irregularities and take necessary measures to ensure everything is in order • Changing light bulbs, replacing door hardware and any related duties as needed/required. • Keep and maintain company tools and equipment record and rearranging space to store all tools and equipment as needed. • Clean and dust the office- sweep and mop floors, clean windows, glass surfaces and mirrors, dust furniture, fixtures, surfaces and equipment The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the facility’s office and grounds and is responsible for conducting all job duties in accordance with company policy and supports the overall objective of meeting the expectations of the management. Starting pay will depend on experience, with a performance evaluation. Sign on Bonus and a wage revision after 60 days.
