Description
Learn the basics of watercolor using YUPO paper Learning how to paint watercolor has been the most fulfilling aspect of my art career. I have learned to appreciate color in so many ways and how you can easily transform something you see into your own form of art. But this how-to-workshop will be done with YUPO paper. Here we will work on the basics of watercolor using YUPO paper. YUPO paper is a smooth paper made out of polypropylene. We will use a permanent maker to design our image and then use watercolor to define the image. I will teach you different layering techniques and how properly paint on the paper. This workshop is to help you learn how to paint watercolor on different papers, and use the tools to create your own art for future projects. Come learn watercolor with me. I am so excited to paint with you. Teresa Cook was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. She is an Abstract Architectural Watercolor artist and has been painting watercolor since 2012. She obtained a Bachelors in Fine Arts from UNF in 2012. Over the last 8 years, she has been traveling to different countries as well as around her native city. She has always found pleasure in the landscapes and buildings that have been created over time. Each of her watercolor and ink paintings are created on a smooth paper called, “Yupo”, are meant to capture a moment in time without the interruption of people. Show life without the “rough” impacts of people. So you will not see human interaction within her art. She just traveled to Amsterdam for the 2019 Urban Sketchers Symposium, capturing the Old and New Amsterdam. She wants to share the world through her eyes. Watercolor Workshops is now in session.
