Events
Berkeley CA
Description
Bay Area Entertainment service has an opening for a lighting and audio technician for set-up and strike of equipment. We provide uplighting, string lighting, station lighting, DJ, and audio service for weddings and other private events. REQUIREMENTS Technician: We are looking for a friendly, punctual, self-motivated team member who is detail oriented and is able to safely lift 50 pounds. Experience: Event lighting, A/V, DJ, audio, production, or hospitality experience is a plus. I will train the right person no matter the experience level. Most tasks are non-technical and easily learned. A candidate who can store and bring string lighting kits to the site when they are needed is a plus. It's not a deal breaker if that's not possible. AVAILABILITY Most events are on Saturday, some are on Friday and Sunday, and we do the occasional weekday event. You will know most dates months in advance. DAY-OF SCHEDULE A day often involves 1 to 3 hours of set-up, around 1 hour of strike, and downtime during some or all of the event. Downtime is often 5 to 6 hours and there will be days you can be off site during that time. Occasionally there will be another tech onsite to assist. SERVICE AREA Greater Bay Area. Most locations are within 1 hour of San Francisco. Several will be in Berkeley and Fremont. COMPENSATION $250 per day There will be 20 to 40 opportunities a year. This opening is a great way to take the edge off monthly bills and earn supplemental income with a minimal scheduling commitment. CURRENT OPPORTUNITIES I have opportunities on the following dates. Compensation for these dates is $300/day. Saturday, 10/30 Saturday, 11/6 Sunday, 11/7 Friday, 11/12 THE NEXT STEP Please respond with a description of any applicable experience you have, contact information, a website or photos of any applicable work you've done, and availability for the dates listed above. All information will be confidential and used solely for the purpose of filling the position. Yours, Spencer
