WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE: PACKAGE HANDLER We are a catering company that made it through covid by shipping wine for 3rd party vendors. This job is perfect for anybody looking for an alternative to the restaurant or hospitality industry - as well as warehouse professionals. In this fast-paced warehouse job, you’ll lift, lower and slide packages up to 50 lbs. You’ll typically work 6 - 8 hour shifts, approximately 15-25 hours per week in this part-time or full-time role. We pay above industry average!! Starting pay is $20-$22 an hour depending on job function. Benefits kick in at 25 hours/week. We are currently looking to fill a part time position (15-25 hours a week) as well as several individuals who are willing to start out on an on call basis to fill in as needed and eventually take on more shifts as we grow. We are currently transitioning from working shorter shifts in pods to having longer more traditional 8 hour shifts. DAILY ACTIVITIES: General warehouse operations Load and unload trucks, sort packages Shipping and receiving Movement of material Package tracking Dock labor Transportation Keep inventory stocked, put away and organized Preparation and breakdown of catering events YOU: Able to maximize use of time to effectively complete work Keep the Warehouse clean and organized Treat all fellow employees with respect Able to work with minimal supervision Must be able to know all the Equipment & Parts that we have in the Warehouse Perform any other management requests or directives as they relate to the overall function of Company policy DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE for a PACKAGE HANDLER: No experience required - we will train you! Must be at least 18 years of age High School diploma or equivalent GED Excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills Able to lift to 50 lbs unassisted Able to use a Pallet Jack Must have valid Driver's License Wine Knowledge a plus++ WORKING CONDITIONS: Warehouse environment Exposure to moderate noise levels EQUIPMENT USED: Standard office equipment, security equipment, computer/printer, copy machine, fax machine Pallet Jack Company Vehicles Daily Activities: General warehouse operations, load and unload trucks, shipping and receiving, movement of material, package tracking, dock labor, and transportation / distribution.
