Description
Oscar and Gus are two sassy, classy, bonded male chinchillas. Gus is the big brother (although not genetically), about 18 months old and standard in color. He loves treats, play time and socializing. Gus does a great job of communicating what he wants and has a very easygoing, gentle personality, as well as plenty of cheeky surprises up his sleeve. Oscar is the baby, around 9 months old, and black velvet in color. Although Oscar was very shy and frightened when i originally adopted him he has blossomed into a fun loving, fancy little friend, always busting a pose and flourishing his fluffy little tail. He absolutely loves his wheel, dust baths, and socializing, and has become very trusting and will perch my hand to munch on treats. They are best friends! Although they do sometimes get into vocal arguments they are gentlemen and never fight or hold a grudge. As most chinchillas, they do not like being grabbed or picked up, but they do choose to sit on laps and have gotten more used to being handled. They come with a customized 2 story Prevue cage with wooden platforms (Prevue Hendryx Black Feisty Ferret Cage https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000QFMYWQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_YS5CTE743SFDNH2KEKW4) and a chinspin wheel that i bought for $120 a couple months ago. They also come with 2 huts, a dust bath, pellets, treats, a carrier and hay (everything to keep them comfortable). I adore these two, but as a working student my life has become extremely busy, and they need more attention than i’m able to give them at the moment. I will be choosy about the home they go to, and if you’re interested it is extremely important that you either have experience or have done extensive research. These are intelligent wonderful little animals that require attentive care. The $400 rehoming fee covers the supplies expense, but more than anything i want these precious friends to go to a good home.
