Description
Hi everyone -
Please meet Pogo, short for Pogona. Pogo is a very pretty (orange) and nice bearded dragon. Pogo came to me about a year ago when I adopted him (he is a male) from a home in Utah. Since then, I've had some of my own life changes which has made Pogo's life less than optimal.
I moved to Grand County, CO, and there isn't much reptile food up here! Pogo tends to shun his veggies unfortunately (though he does pick at them in occasion). He loves crickets and dubias, but his favorite is horned worms. At first he was eating canned insects, but seems to have started shunning those as well. At this point, I think it is best for Pogo to find a home closer to a pet store where he can get the food he needs.
I am not posting this in Grand County because I do not think he could have a good home there (unless the person went down to Denver every week - I do not). Pogo will come with a 40 gallon tank, a water dish, furniture, and a dual lamp. You will need to buy a special UVB fixture (he has one now, but I am going to keep it). Pogo will also come with vitamin and calcium powder, and some other assorted goodies.
I am down in Denver every once and awhile, and the adoption fee would be equivalent to a tank of gas. If you come get Pogo in Winter Park or Frasier, no cost.
He is a very nice lizard, though not all that active in terms of bearded dragons. He can easily be held, will stay on your shoulder, and does not mind dogs or cats. I have never even once thought he was going to bite - he is very chill.
