Here are the top stories in Mobile today: The Mobile Police Department is currently investigating a shooting that took place early Sunday morning in the southbound lanes of I-65. A male victim suffered a gunshot wound to the leg after a passenger in another vehicle fired shots into his car. He was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. (FOX10 News) The Blackout Veterans Tour delivered a special flag to American Legion Post 88 in Mobile to honor 13 fallen soldiers who served in Afghanistan. These soldiers lost their lives as the U.S. pulled its troops out of Afghanistan this year. They have been traveling all over the country to deliver these special flags. (NBC 15 WPMI) Mobile officials are hoping to increase awareness about a life-saving app, Pursuit Alert, that alerts people to high-speed police pursuits in the area. (NBC 15 WPMI) Three local moms have united to collect blankets for patients at USA Health Children's & Women's Hospital in honor of Madison Kirksey, a two-year-old girl who died last year of a rare immune deficiency. Donations will be collected at 4850 General Road in Mobile (outside the Tillman Park Apartments office) and at 8531 Spanish Fort Blvd., Ste. 201 in Spanish Fort until Nov. 12. (WKRG News 5) The University of Mobile kicked off its 10th annual Project Serve on Friday, during which time 650 students, staff, and faculty volunteered their time at more than 30 locations in Mobile.
