Here are the top stories today in Atlanta: After a weekend bathed in blue skies, the risk for strong, isolated storms in metro Atlanta returns today. There is a level 2 threat for severe storms in northeast Georgia, according to Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologist Eboni Deon. Isolated tornadoes are possible, as well as damaging winds and hail. (WSB Atlanta) When the Atlanta Braves ousted the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 6 of the National League Championship Series Saturday night, local fans "went absolutely wild," according to a CBS46 report. The reality that the Braves are World Series bound for the first time since 1999 thrilled fans at The Battery near Truist Park. The Braves will face the American League champion Houston Astros for the season's final best-of-seven series beginning tomorrow night in Houston. Game time is 8:09 p.m. Go Braves! (CBS46 News Atlanta) The Shaky Knees Music Festival returned to Atlanta for the first time in over two years this past weekend. From Friday to Sunday, Central Park was alive with performances ranging from headliners Foo Fighters to Alice Cooper, Mac DeMarco, St. Vincent and Ty Segall, as well as new bands including Frankie and the Witch Fingers and The Alive. Shaky Knees, which usually happens in May, will return to that schedule in 2022. Kicking off at 9 a.m., the annual American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk brought together trekkers from all over to help boost breast cancer awareness and raise funds to save lives. The annual event, a major donation driver, raises thousands of dollars for breast cancer research. (CBS46 News Atlanta)Are car dashboards actually melting away in certain Nissan automobiles? The melting-dashboard issue, called a serious safety issue by numerous drivers and reported on for seven years by Channel 2 Action news, affects 2007 to 2013 Nissan Altimas and Maximas. After more than 1,000 complaints filed with federal regulators at the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the Center for Auto Safety sent a new letter to NHTSA this month, demanding it step in. It also sent a letter requesting a recall by Nissan, which refuses to replace or fix the dashboards.
