Description
I responded to a "political" post once. I shared my opinion and it was flagged and pulled very quickly. It wasn't up long enough for very many people to read. I received an email from one person that said that he agreed with my opinion and had been expressing the same views to people for years.
It wasn't a mean, abusive or in any way negative towards the person that wrote the original post. It was just a different point of view presented with hopes of enlightenment.
As I grow older (specially the last 10 or so years) I find myself encountering, more and more, of these "Pinch Me!" moments. Listening to and considering different points of views is how solutions can be made, how changes are able to occur and it is part of how wisdom is gained.
Censoring, removing and/or ignoring other peoples points of view and information that they share, just because it doesn't go along with what their favorite and most popular world view is, is what I like to call "Anti-Wisdom".
Clicking on community > politics and seeing absolutely nothing is just another "Pinch Me!" moment. Really?! With all that's going on these days?! Crickets? Almost everything is politicized these days! Is this thing on? Hello? Test. Test.
I can't help but wonder what's really going on.
Later 'fraidy cats.
