I started a corporation in September, the Burton Fletcher Foundation for Animals, Inc. that is dedicated to animal welfare in South Georgia, and necessarily, at this time, primarily in Lowndes County! We need volunteers, ranging from website design, creation of events, to development of contacts with animal welfare organizations. The following is our preliminary Mission Statement: The Burton Fletcher Foundation for Animals, Inc. Mission Statement The Burton Fletcher Foundation for Animals, Inc. is a tax-exempt, non-profit corporation dedicated to rescuing injured, abused, abandoned, and feral animals in South Georgia. We believe in the compassionate treatment of the animal population, and we work to improve the conditions for animals. Our purpose is to support organizations that deliver every rescued animal a safe residence while putting every effort into finding them loving homes. We support animal shelters, humane societies, and individuals with animal welfare needs. We are a philanthropic, volunteer, and grantmaking foundation.
