West Salem Ace Hardware 10am-12pm Master Gardener volunteers will be on-site to test pH Please limit to two (2) samples. Testing is free but donations to cover supplies are appreciated ($2/sample) Your soil will be tested on-site if volume allows. Otherwise you will receive an email with test results. How to collect soil for the most accurate results: -Use a shovel or trowel to collect a thin slice of soil from the root zone, about 6 inches down. -Take about 1⁄2 cup from each of several spots in the same area (for example, the lawn or the vegetable garden) and mix them together. -Put about 1 cup of the mixed soil into a clean plastic or paper bag and label it with the area it came from.
