Need to rehome our dog

Pepper is a very sweet four-year-old lab/pit mix in need of her forever home. She's a pretty mellow gal who loves people--especially children, swimming, playing fetch, chasing birds, and cuddling on the couch. She hates rain, camping, and squirrels. She lives with cats who tolerates her and would does just fine with them. She does have a tendency to guard the ball if another dog comes around so she will need to be the only dog in the home. We've had Pepper since she was 12 weeks old and my kids are really attached to her, so this has been a very difficult decision but Pepper has severe allergies that need to be managed with frequent bathing/ear cleanings, special food, supplements, and a shot from the vet every 6 weeks or so. I do not have the capacity to manage her medical needs and her health has suffered as a result. She needs to go to a quiet home with folks who have the time and resources to stay on top of her medical issues. Pepper is a really, really great dog and she will make a wonderful companion for the right person/people. Everyone who meets her falls in love with her instantly. She's brindle, about 70 pounds, spayed, and fully vaccinated.
