Assist the Friends of the Mount Vernon Trail with repairing bumps on the trail near Marina Towers.
The Friends of Mount Vernon Trail will be repairing bumps on the trail caused by root heaves to help reduce the risk of crashes.
Volunteers may perform some of the following work:
Directing trail users through a detourUsing a leaf blower to remove asphalt dustSweepingBreaking asphalt with picks and shovelsSawing and digging rootsShoveling asphalt patchCarrying buckets of asphalt patchTamping asphalt patchWhat to Bring:

The work area is on the Mount Vernon Trail between Marina Towers and the concrete bridge by the power plant. See the picture below.
