This seminar will discuss the rules behind Electronic Signing and Sealing for Engineers in the State of Florida With more and more business and municipalities working toward paperless plans submittal and review the challenges with electronic and digital signatures and seals are beginning to surface. This talk will address the challenges faced and the rules developed by the Florida Board of Professional Engineers. Given that Mr. Bracken served as the Chair of the FBPE and its Rules Committee during the development of these rules, he will be able to provide insights on their development and compliance. Specifically, this talk will acquaint design professionals with the rules and requirements in place regarding acceptable methods of electronically and digitally signing and sealing engineering deliverables (i.e., plans, reports, calculations, and BIM).
