Come out and patronize the talented and beautiful ladies of the night!
The McKenzie Project Inc (TMPI), is a new 501 c (3) nonprofit organization in Miami, Florida. TMPI will be hosting our first ever fundraising event to help generate income towards creating a drop-in center for Black transgender and non-binary individuals in the Liberty City, Miami neighborhood. All funds will go directly to TMPI. The McKenzie Project is starting a support group called " The All-Stars", which is a support group for Black female impersonators and drag entertainers. Many centers here in Miami don't cater to the art form of drag and don't provide a space and place for these artists to utilize their skills and talents. TMPI aims to empower and educate these individuals as well as others more about safer sex practices, mental health, PrEP, and important things we don't' often get a chance to actually educate our Black transgender and non-binary community about. Creating this support group within this space gives them the opportunity to use the space for job readiness classes, stoning parties for competition garments, talent rehearsal space to prepare for pageants and practice modeling, and fantasy hair classes... a place for these entertainers to feel welcomed and a place to get creative in a safe and affirming space!
