Join us for inspiring conversation, local appetizers & affirming networking while we learn from & celebrate 3 local Boston business leaders. Every venture starts with inspiration. Most often, this inspiration comes from lived experiences that ignite an entrepreneur’s innovative fire to address an issue and/or create an opportunity. Being able to tap into this inspiration even after the venture has launched is essential for maintaining momentum. Join Innovate@BU’s inaugural Innovator-in-Residence, Jonathan Allen (co-founder, Leadership Brainery), for a candid and dynamic conversation with local Boston entrepreneurs about their journey navigating social impact ventures as women of color. Jacquetta Van Zandt - Founder, Politics and ProseccoHodan Hashi - Co-Founder, Black BostonNia Grace - Owner of Darryl's Kitchen and the new Underground Cafe + Lounge at NortheasternWe’ll also discuss their experience with the nuts and bolts of ideating, operationalizing, and sustaining a business venture. AGENDA: 5:30-6pm - food & networking6-7pm: panel & audience discussion 7-7:30pm - networking Appetizers and snacks will be served and networking will follow the discussion. Attendants will be required to wear a mask when not eating and drinking following BU covid policies. Innovate@BU is a University-wide initiative to enable all BU Terriers to become drivers of innovation in their own lives, careers, and communities.
