We will cover the different strategies used to acquire land and determine it's highest & best use. We will explore the various exit strategies that we have used for our developments and identify the different pathways to construction based off of the strategies that will be employed.
Presenters:
Chasity Flax is a Real Estate Broker and Real Estate Developer. She began her career in business-to-business sales before becoming a realtor in 2013. Coming from a family with a history of developing properties, she was always interested in new development. When she saw that her primary sales were coming from new construction, she initiated a plan to take advantage of the opportunities available. In 2018, she collaborated with family members and implemented that plan by developing properties, right in the heart of Houston.
Garland Harris Jr. is a Real Estate Developer and Architectural Designer. He is a graduate of Prairie View A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and a Master of Community Development. He has more than 10 years’ experience in the architecture and construction industry where he has designed and built townhouses, as well as single and multi-family housing specializing in Urban Development. His team is currently developing and building multi-family properties in the south side of Houston.
