Advanced Outdoor Portrait Photography Saturday, January 9, 2021 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Instructor: George Wilson This workshop picks up where Outdoor Portrait Photography finishes. For photographers having a good understanding of their camera and the basic portrait techniques, this is the next step. You do not need to be an advanced photographer to attend. This workshop also assumes that you understand the basics of exposure, ISO, Aperture, Shutter Speed, Focusing and Metering. This short portrait workshop is designed to teach you the skills needed to begin using an external strobe unit, calculating for it in manual mode for greater flexibility and creativity. If you have a flash for your camera, bring it along! The instructor will also provide a quick recycle flash for the class to use. We will be working with a live model and will setup a wide variety of photography situations to illustrate how use flash as a tool, pose your subject and come away with quality images you can be proud of. This class is perfect for those who are looking to improve their portrait photos of children, family, pets and more! The technical aspects of flash photography will be discussed in this class. This course does not cover digital manipulation or post processing of images. Social distancing guidelines predicate the use of a longer or zoom lens between 80 and 200mm George Wilson was born and raised in Massachusetts and now makes Central Florida his home. A self-taught photographer, his professional career soon brought editorial work with organizations such as The Springfield Union News and The Associated Press. He is now in the process of creating a body of work dedicated to the wilderness areas of Central Florida needing protection, and also teaches classes at Walt Disney World and for the City of Orlando. Participants must withdraw from classes at least five days prior to the start of class in order to receive a full refund or credit. Only those registered for the class will be permitted in the classroom. Childcare services are not provided.
