Handyperson – fix, upgrade, groom, and manage our modest household

Description

We're two good friends living together and working from home, seeking an ongoing "handyperson" to help us with our house/office. We made this 4-min video to explain the kinds of things we need help with: As mentioned in the video, we normally would do these kinds of things ourselves, and honestly it's been killing us to leave things out of order. But at the moment – and for the foreseeable future – we are working on an all-consuming project on the internet, and at the end of the day or over the weekend we rarely have the time or energy to tend to our own physical space. So, we're seeking someone who is able to help us with... Handy tasks, like: Installing new light switchesFiguring our why our doorbell makes an odd grinding sound all the time, and fixing or replacing itFixing the drawer featured in the video aboveFixing the broken pipe featured in the video aboveSimpler indoor/outdoor labor, like:Mowing our small lawnTending to some shrubs and weedsOccasionally deep-cleaning parts of the house (or if you are not up for that, bringing in someone who is)Managing contractors, like: A rooferMaybe a landscaper if the pipe job isn't in your wheelhouseSomeone who understands tree health and can tell us if our tree is savable or not, and what to do nextThis would be a part-time job, which you could do as a side-gig on top of other work. We're just two people in a small house with normal things to tend to, not a large family in a big house with a lot of demands. We have a pretty high bar for the person we are seeking, and if we find the right person we hope this would turn out to be a mutually beneficial setup for seasons or years to come. We're willing to pay you what you are worth. You'll be a goof fit if you: Take an extreme degree of pride in your work, and really enjoy doing things the right wayWould rather do what needs doing yourself, to get it done now and make sure it's done rightHave a thoughtfully-equipped and well-maintained home of your ownIf you think this could be a good fit for you, please get in touch and let us know the kind of work you usually do, as well as any questions you have for us. Thanks for reading our post!
