Hey there, I'm a Charlottesville local looking to join up with like-minded musicians and play music we enjoy. Gigs would be great eventually but I'm fine with just learning songs and practicing as long as it's fun. I'm down with alt rock, stoner metal, pop-punk, indie pop, funk, soul, and singer-songwriter-y stuff. Really anything that has energy and groove. Eager to learn original material, but covers are fun too. I'm a big fan of Amos Lee and Carbon Leaf, Steely Dan and Vulfpeck, 60s-era Motown, U2, Big Wreck and Foo Fighters, pre-2000 Metallica and Russian Circles and The Atomic Bitchwax. If your musical interests are near the intersection of any of those artists, get in touch! I have a strong background in music theory, 20+ years of experience playing bass in a variety of bands including a few recording projects, and an excellent feel for rhythm guitar (albeit less experience). If you don't care about sounding good, I can also play lead and sing harmony :)
