Description
Julia's Joy Tween Talk - In Person Julia’s Joy TWEEN TALK is for 11, 12 & 13 year old girls and boys on Saturday at 10:00am, unless otherwise noted. Tweens are invited to chat in a fun, informal atmosphere about life at this age with Julie Lacey, a Mother and Certified School Counselor - as part of our Julia’s Joy Youth Empowerment Program. We have created a safe group, where they can come and relax, unload and learn they are not alone all while meeting new friends. Learning Stress Management tips will help kids deal with the pressures they are feeling at this age. Most sessions will include making a fun craft that ties back to the topics discussed. They will leave with something to give them a physical reminder of how they can use their stress management skills at home and in real life. Children will not be required to wear masks. A waiver will need to be completed electronically by parent/legal guardian in advance. Registration will be confirmed by phone so please be sure to provide a cell phone number. TWEENS should bring their own drink and snack to this event. We will do our best to keep the children 6 feet apart and we will not have plexiglass or partitions at their craft table. If you are not comfortable with these guidelines, you should not register your child. Due to limiting the amount of occupants at the center, this is a drop off and pick up event only. We will need a photo release and emergency contact form completed in advance also. We feel it is important to resume this program to teach children healthy coping skills, resilience, and confidence in being yourself while having fun! Any tween who is interested in one-on-one conversations can reserve time with Julie Lacey privately with parental consent . Please RSVP and also be sure to respond to the email confirmation which will be sent within 24 hours of the session. This group is free thanks to donations, if you would like to make a donation, it is always appreciated, but not necessary! Learn more about our workshops and our mission at http://www.JuliasJoy.org
