Albert Lotto, 62, is running for Mayor of Hamden as an Independent write-in candidate. Occupation: Business Owner, Bus Driver, And Pca For State Of Ct Family: Life long Hamden resident, I raised my children here. Run a successful business both in town and in Branford Experience: None Family in government: No The single biggest issue in town is ______, and I plan to do this about it: Taxes of course. It took decades to bring us to where we are now. Realistically It will take more than a few years to fix it, however there are several things we do to put us on the right path. We need to work diligently to bring new business to Hamden and revitalize what we have. We also need to look at top heavy government offices and department and find the most efficient ways to move forward with less burden on the taxpayers. Critical differences between me and my opponents: We have three candidates in this race. Two are career politicians reading out of political textbooks and myself. A working class, life long resident with new ideas, willing to work with both sides and think out of the box. Accomplishments: I have successfully run a small business for years. I also operate the Hamden Crime Watchers site with 5,300 people and have developed relationships with residents and feel their pain. Other issues: *Economic Development *Better relations with Quinnipiac University *Focus on programs to reduce crime *Blight Commission *Regular public forums= Hands on Government *Dispensary to create jobs, reduce crime, and bring in money back to our community *Animal Shelter What else would you like voters to know about you?
