We are having to re home our female akita. She is 2 years old, up to date on shots and very playful. Her fur is all white like a polar bear. We have a female german shepherd and the two just don't get along despite about a year of working with them. Each breed is protective by nature and unfortunately their two personalities just don't mesh. Sky is very loving and playful, she will be the happiest as an only dog and with a nice yard to run around in. We do have small kids but since Sky is a larger muscular dog, she has the potential to jump and frighten a child. The times we have introduced her to the kids, she did very well and licked them nonstop. She is not fixed yet and is full blooded akita but we don't have any papers.
