About 6 months ago my husband came home from work and told me about a dog his coworker had that was being horribly abused without without much more information I told him to bring her to me tomorrow. We've had Zoey now for about 6 months, when when she 1st came to us she would not even get out of the corner of a room she backed herself in the corner and would watch everyone. you couldn't touch her you couldn't walk past her she would urinate everywhere and then attempt to drink it it was incredibly sad I had never seen such a sight. She warmed up very quickly to our older dog who who in his 10 years is the most amazing animal I've ever met. She did not like our small Chihuahua Corgi mix Initially but our little dog is like most little dogs and thinks she is the meanest baddest thing in the room. Zoey is great around our children shows no food aggression. And it's now friends with our small dog we recently brought home a Sphynx kitten, who Zoe is extremely interested in but has not shown aggression. Zoey is hands down the most affectionate dog I have ever met she will literally try to hug you if she thinks she's in trouble she does not do well with men who yell or are very domineering she will urinate other than that she's completely house broken and kennel trained though we have not made her get into her kennel since we brought her home that was her Only place to live before she came to us so she does have her kennel that makes her feel safe but we never force her to stay in it. We are not supposed to have her here as much as I love her and want to continue to work with her I need to find her a forever home she would do best with a female a single mother or someone who travels. She will warm up to a guy but it may take longer. she loves to go in the car she still needs to have some training as she is a cattle dog and has a bunch of energy. She would love to live somewhere with property She could play fetch for hours. She will even play by herself. I will require a home inspection of wherever she goes Really looking for someone who is a homeowner and that will not have to have the excuse of getting rid of her to move.
