Description
The dog was found in an apartment complex in Dallas on 10/20. She had a collar and was obviously just left behind. She was taken to the vet and was microchipped, the owner was contacted but they did not answer. Contact information was left, flyers were posted, apartment complex was notified, but no one has claimed her.
The vet couldn’t give us much information, only that her name was Bella and she is 10 months old.
So far we have determined she was kennel trained, knows basic commands like sit, shake, and seems to be able to do wait as well.
She likes to play but isn’t excessively high energy. She can cuddle and be really sweet and likes hugs and pets and scratches. She got a long with another dog the original person who found her had, so she could be pretty good with other dogs.
I bought a lot of stuff for her to go to a good home, so she’s equipped with a whole starter kit. She has a kennel equipped with a cooling mat, a pillow bed, a reflective harness and leash, large breed puppy food, a few toys, lots of treats, some for training and some for chewing. We have a couple of bowls and a splash guard mat as well. I spent well over $200 setting her up, I’m just asking for a $50 rehoming fee to ensure she goes to a good home.
Full transparency, I’ve had her for a little over 24 hours and I can’t get her to potty outside. We go on multiple long walks a day, but she has a couple of accidents indoors directly after. I think she has been scared and nervous, because she is decently well trained in other regards, so she hasn’t settled down enough to feel comfortable. She just needs love and attention and time.
